Frequently asked questions
Can I wear my compression garment at night?
The quick answer is no, elastic garments are not normally worn at night while sleeping because they might bunch up and cause a tourniquet. However, you should consult your physician and follow their recommendations.
How should I wear my compression stockings?
In general, graduated compression stockings should only be worn during the day while you are upright and mobile, and should be taken off and washed at night. Consult your primary care provider for specific instructions. If you need to wear your garment every day, you may want to consider purchasing a second pair so you will always have one pair to wear while the other is being washed.
Where are Juzo products made?
Most of our medical grade compression garments, both ready to wear and custom, are produced in the United States at our Cuyahoga Falls, OH production facility. A small number of our custom garments are made at our German production facility.
Why is it okay to machine wash/dry Juzo compression garments?
Without daily machine laundering, your garment is more likely to stretch out, over time. Other brands can only be hand washed and hand dried. Because of Juzo’s garment features, all Juzo garments can be machine-washed and machine- dried on a low-heat setting.
Latex Free- Juzo only uses Lycra® compression fibers. Lycra® does not breakdown from heat and is the highest quality synthetic compression fiber.
FiberSoft™ - Our Lycra® compression fibers are covered. This protects the garment and increases garment durability.
Does medicare cover compression garments?
Yes- Medicare does Lymphedema compression supplies and knee-high stockings if you have an open wound. The Lymphedema Treatment Act recently passed and created a compression benefit category so that Medicare can pay for Lymphedema compression garments.
