Keep your battery and charging system cared for with Battery Care Plus+ from Sun Medical Supplies. This 12-month membership includes battery and charger diagnostics, connection cleaning, select replacement parts, one replacement battery charger when needed, and complimentary installation and recycling.

Current and discontinued power wheelchairs and mobility scooters are eligible, subject to equipment compatibility and service availability confirmed before enrollment.

What’s Included

Two In-Store Battery Service Visits
Receive two service visits during your 12-month membership for the battery diagnostics, cleaning, inspections, and covered component replacements described below. Parts and labor for the expressly covered services are included.

Battery Diagnostics
Testing and inspection of the enrolled equipment’s batteries and battery connections to evaluate their condition and investigate battery-related performance concerns. Findings requiring services outside this plan will be explained and quoted separately.

Internal and External Connection Cleaning
Cleaning of accessible battery terminals and electrical connections, including connections inside the equipment’s battery compartment or removable battery housing. Service includes checking and securing accessible connections where appropriate.

“Internal connections” refers to connections within the equipment—not inside sealed batteries. Opening batteries or servicing internal battery cells is not included.

Connection Lead Wire and Fuse Replacement
Replacement of worn, corroded, damaged, or faulty battery connection lead wires and battery-system fuses identified during an included service visit. Compatible replacement parts and installation labor are included.

This benefit does not include replacement of the equipment’s main wiring harness or unrelated electrical components.

Battery Casing Replacement
Replacement of the enrolled equipment’s removable battery box or protective battery housing if cracked or damaged, including the compatible housing and standard installation.

For this benefit, “battery casing” means the equipment’s removable battery enclosure—not the sealed outer shell of an individual battery. Complete replacement batteries are purchased separately.

Battery Charger Diagnostics and One Charger Replacement
Diagnostic evaluation of the charger used with the enrolled equipment to assess charging operation and identify charger-related faults. Please bring your equipment’s charger to your service appointment.

If diagnostic testing confirms that the charger is faulty, receive one compatible replacement battery charger at no additional charge during the 12-month membership. The replacement must match the enrolled equipment and battery system; charger upgrades and additional replacement chargers are not included.

Free In-Store Installation and Recycling
Installation of all replacement parts expressly covered by this plan is included.

Members also receive complimentary standard installation of one complete matched set of two replacement batteries purchased from Sun Medical Supplies, along with a basic post-installation operational check and recycling of the removed batteries.

The separate battery installation appointment does not reduce your two included service visits. Repairs outside the listed coverage are quoted separately.

20% Off Eligible Replacement Batteries
Save 20% off the regular retail price of one eligible replacement battery set purchased from Sun Medical Supplies for the enrolled device during the membership year, up to $100 in total savings.

Both batteries must be purchased and replaced together as a compatible matched set. Replacement batteries are not included in the $99 membership price.

Service Scope and Exclusions

Battery Care Plus+ is a prepaid battery-service membership with the specific parts-replacement benefits listed above. It does not extend the manufacturer’s warranty or provide comprehensive repair coverage for the mobility device.

The following are excluded:

• Replacement batteries and unlisted parts: Complete batteries are purchased separately at the applicable member price. Motors, controllers, joysticks, main wiring harnesses, and components not expressly included above are excluded.
• Repairs beyond the covered battery services: Internal battery repairs, cell replacement, battery rebuilding, reconditioning, and diagnosis or repair of unrelated equipment systems are not included. Additional labor beyond the expressly covered services is charged separately.
• House calls and transportation: In-home service, mobile service, travel charges, pickup, delivery, shipping, and equipment transportation are excluded.
• Other mobility services: General mobility maintenance, wheel or bearing replacements, brake adjustments, seating repairs, rental equipment, and loaner equipment are not included.

Any noncovered parts or services will be quoted separately and require customer approval before work begins.

Membership Terms

Membership is valid for 12 months from enrollment and applies to one enrolled mobility device. Included service visits and benefits must be used within the membership term. Unused benefits do not roll over, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred to another device.

The charger replacement benefit is limited to one compatible charger per membership year, following diagnostic confirmation that the enrolled equipment’s charger is faulty.

The 20% battery discount and complimentary battery installation apply to one matched replacement set of two batteries per membership year. The discount applies to battery merchandise only—not taxes, shipping, or other charges—and cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Discontinued units are eligible when compatible parts, batteries, chargers, and service support are available. Equipment and component eligibility must be confirmed before enrollment.

Diagnostic findings reflect the equipment’s observed condition at the time of service. They do not guarantee remaining battery life, driving range, future performance, or uninterrupted operation.
